Daging Goreng Kunyit at Warung Pak Mat Pulau Pisang is a beloved traditional Malay fried dish. Small cuts of fresh beef are coated with fresh turmeric and selected spices, then fried to perfection — achieving a beautiful golden colour on the outside while remaining tender and juicy inside.
The secret to this dish lies in the frying technique — the beef is not overcooked, ensuring the outside is perfectly done while the inside stays tender and full of juice. The turmeric-infused oil remaining on the plate adds an incredibly distinctive aroma and flavour.
We use fresh turmeric (not powder) to produce a deeper golden colour and richer aroma. Fresh turmeric also contains natural curcumin which provides additional health benefits.
